This variety of the Spider Plant, Chlorophytum comosum ‘Bonnie' has curly twisted green leaves. The flowering stems are yellow and plantlets are curly similar to that of the parent.
This is an air purifying houseplant that is very easy to maintain and fast growing.
We select the healthiest and strongest seedlings taken from the mother plant and deliver them to you in the bare rooted form.
You will receive one bare rooted, 10 - 15 cm tall, healthy 'Bonnie' spider plant taken from the mother plant (see photos 1, 2 and 3). However, on some occasions they will differ in size and shape (see note)
Once you receive the plant, you will need to plant them in a suitable pot with any general compost mix with plenty of water in order for them to grow and flourish.
The Bonnie Spider plant is fast becoming a very popular variety as it tends to be more compact in size and is ideal if you want a Spider Plant but don't have masses of space in which to show it off. It’s also the perfect plant for hanging baskets as the stems cascade down.
Place it in a well-lit spot and water freely when in growth, but keep dryer in winter. Mist the leaves every so often with water to increase humidity and make sure the winter temperatures stay above 8°C. Repot when it has outgrown its pot in the winter.
