For sale is this antique stoneware / yellow ware mixing bowl in a BASKETWEAVE molded pattern. Nice mold detail and beautiful, rich blue glaze color. Measures approx. 9-5/8" outside dia. at the top x 6-3/8" high, and it's very heavy (approx. 5 pounds alone).
CONDITION: It has significant chipping & roughness around the top inside and outside rim - see all photos. There is minor roughness and a few glaze pops on and around the bottom rim. Deep scratches on the bottom (inside) from many years of use. NO CRACKS, HAIRLINE CRACKS, OR REPAIRS. This piece is still in nice displayable condition especially considering it's over 100 years old and was used as a utilitarian piece on a daily basis. It also has the usual manufacturing characteristics found on OLD salt glaze stoneware (i.e., pits, pops, glaze skips, rubs, runs, bubbles, glaze separations, staining, crazing, and wrinkles & lines in glaze).
