This box was found at a local estate of a collector of all things China. The box has a large oval carved and reticulated piece of jade with carved flowers. The box is hinged and looks to be designed for playing cards. The box has patterned sides as shown. The bottom has four ball feet. The condition is good with the following signs of age: the jade plaque has some abrasions and two splits that are visible. They are stable in the surround, but it needs mention.
Measurements are: 5 3/4" by 4 1/2" and 1 1/8" tall.
