Sie als Endverbraucher sind verpflichtet, Batterien, die Abfälle sind, an einen Vertreiber oder an von den öffentlichrechtlichen Entsorgungsträgern dafür eingerichteten Rücknahmestellen zurückzugeben. Eine Entsorgung über den Hausmüll ist grundsätzlich verboten. Die Entsorgung von Altbatterien oder Akkus kann sowohl durch Übergabe an eine kommunale Sammelstelle, als auch durch Rückgabe im örtlichen Handel kostenlos erfolgen. Von uns erhaltene Batterien können Sie nach Gebrauch auch an uns unentgeltlich zurückgeben oder ausreichend frankiert per Post an uns zurücksenden.
Batterien, die Schadstoffe enthalten, sind mit dem Symbol einer durchgekreuzten Mülltonne gekennzeichnet, ähnlich dem Symbol in der Abbildung unten.
Die durchgestrichene Mülltonne bedeutet: Batterien und Akkus dürfen nicht in den Hausmüll.
In der Nähe zum Mülltonnensymbol befindet sich ggfs. die chemische Bezeichnung des Schadstoffes:
- Cd = Batterie enthält mehr als 0,002 Masseprozent Cadmium
- Hg = Batterie enthält mehr als 0,0005 Masseprozent Quecksilber
- Pb = Batterie enthält mehr als 0,004 Masseprozent Blei.
Sie finden diese Hinweise auch noch einmal in der Bedienungsanleitung des Herstellers. Weitere Hinweise zur Batterieverordnung finden Sie auch beim Bundesministerium für Umwelt, Naturschutz und Reaktorsicherheit.
Hinweise zur Entsorgung von Altgeräten und Elektronikschrott:
Seit März 2006 dürfen nach dem Elektro- und Elektronikgerätegesetz (ElektroG) Altgeräte nicht mehr im Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Neben typischen Elektrogeräten wie Fernseher, Waschmaschinen oder Kühlschränke, betrifft dies auch z. B. GPS-Geräte, Taschenlampen, und/oder andere Elektroaltgeräte. Erkennbar sind diese Geräte ebenfalls an dem Symbol einer durchgestrichenen Mülltonne:
Das Symbol finden Sie auf den Geräten oder der Verpackung.
Den Elektronikschrott können Sie z. B. bei kommunalen Sammelstellen kostenlos abgeben. Ihre kommunale Abfallberatung oder die Verbraucherzentralen können Ihnen über den genauen Ort dieser Sammelstellen Auskunft geben.
Altbatterien und Altakkumulatoren, die nicht vom Altgerät umschlossen sind, sind vor der Abgabe an einer Erfassungsstelle von diesem zu trennen.
Sie sorgen selbst für das Löschen personenbezogener Daten auf den zu entsorgenden Altgeräten.

Informationen zum Elektrogerätegesetz
In Bezug auf die Richtlinen des Neuen ElektroG weisen wir an dieser Stelle darauf hin, dass unsere Lager-, Versand- und Verkaufsraumkapazitäten unterhalb der gesetzlich vorgegebenen 400 qm liegen. Aus diesem Grunde sind wir nicht zur Rücknahme von Alt-Geräten verpflichtet. Wir möchten Sie darauf hinweisen, dass diese an einer zertifizierten Recycling-Niederlassung abzugeben bzw. zu entsorgen sind.
