This item can be used to add additional users to the two different versions of Server 2012 - Server 2012 and Server 2012 R2.

Microsoft will continue to provide security patches for Windows Server 2012 R2 until October 2026.

Warning: You are required under the Microsoft License terms to have the *physical* licence document with the attached Tracking ID / Activation Key in order to legally use any Microsoft Server product, including CALs, RDS CALS and Operating Systems. The only exception being if there is a volume licence agreement directly in place between your company and Microsoft. Tracking IDs / Activation keys on their own are NOT enough to legally use the software.
