Description:
This listing is for a stunning Art Deco vase, made by Huntley Pottery during the 1940s. The vase is large and commanding. This version is in a light grey-blue, and features trees, foliage, and a variety of birds and animals, including deer, owls, rabbits, and birds, which are set in relief all around the vase. The same design is seen in several types of troughs, bowls and vases made by Huntley Pottery. This pottery was owned by Cooper and Cooke, who used the designs of John Elischer - an Austrian sculptor who migrated to Melbourne in the 1930s - in many types of household items. The vase is signed Huntley 515.

Condition:
Excellent. No chips or cracks. Some crazing associated with age.
