"The Sushi Plate"

In this study I focused on exploring compositional elements like they are used in filmmaking and bend them to my idea of the grid.
Another point here was to paint something that the viewer could describe immediatly when being asked, what he can see in this picture.
The motif here was taken from the pottery studio of Kristina Brust, where we were creating huge sushi plates from clay.
