from  the estate of   Dutch service man Jan Hendrik Hoendervoogt   originally from  Wissigen  who served with the Royal Netherlands Navy and then later with 320 (Netherlands) Squadron RAF then  AH AERO HOLLAND   a lot of which was in AFRICA  he died in 1977 

This taken of a family member or close friend  during shore leave  1933   thought Vllissingen 

at this point  he was serving on De Ruyter, launched in 1926, was an Admiralen-class destroyer. She was renamed Van Ghent to make way for the 1935 De Ruyter.     She served in World War II and was wrecked on Bamidjo reef on 15 February 1942.
