Oriental Antiques from Collector to Collector

Description:

I have this pair of Japanese Arita porcelain dogs in my collection for over 10 years.  They were the very first "big ticket" item that I purchase.

My research over the years has indicates that the statues are from Edo period, 18thC to first half of 19thC.  Characteristic of the decoration and the glaze  match other Arita Dog from Edo period offered at reputable auctions.  The way the statues were molded using a multi-pieces molding process is also strong indicator.  Please see my reference Bonhams auction below and the photos of screen capture.
