EGW Mystic Precision MPOD F-Class Rifle Bipod

Manufactured by EGW for Mystic Precision. MPOD Design: Make a super light bipod with the stability and tracking of a pedestal rest. A winning design: Winner of the 2013 Individual FTR World Championship used the MPOD. Multiple NRA records in Team and Individual set. Several Members of the US National FTR team currently shooting with the MPOD. The MPODs are made from aircraft grade aluminium with quality steel hardware and lugs for durability and a long life. The exterior is Mil-spec anodised. Improved geometry to reduce the effects of torque during recoil for consistent tracking and follow through despite the chambering. Has been successfully used on larger caliber boomers including the 50 BMG. Easy to operate with large range of movements to account for varied terrain. The lowest height is 4-1/2 inches suitable for bench work and raised berms when shooting prone. At full elevation, you have 7-3/4 inches to the mounting lug. This range is wider then the Harris 6-9 bipod. Longer legs are also available (sold separately) which increases the height range by 2.5″. Cant feature is now added for quick leveling on uneven ground, the MPOD can handle a 4 inch height difference between legs, the Cant will not shift during recoil as is common with most other bipods. The installed bipod pod weighs 12.8ozs yet is strong enough to support heavy rifles and big boomers. Easily supports rifles weighing 50lbs. This makes the MPOD the lightest F-class suitable pod we are aware of. By comparison, a Harris BR- S 6 to 9 inch bipod weighs 13.8ozs on the same scale. The pod is easily removed by loosening one central knob and sliding off the rail. When clamped, it is fixed and will not move during recoil. The MPOD comes in 2 variants based on stock (front end) width- 2.50 and 3 inches. The MPOD mounts to commonly found Anschutz and UIT rails ie. Choate and Anschutz/Savage stocks. An Anschutz rail made by EGW is available (sold separately) Easy to install and remove – Solid with great repeatability and accuracy potential. Stability increases with bipod height which is opposite to a number of designs. Stores flat in your rifle case making it easy to get to and from the range.
