For sale is VINTAGE EARLY STANLEY NO 54 ADJUSTABLE THROAT SPOKESHAVE
The tool is in full working order with the original blade marked "Stanley Rule & Level Co.". The blade
has some pitting and still has an edge to it, but would need a good honing before being put to work.
The body of the tool is made from cast iron and has no breaks, no cracks, no owner's marks, no holes
drilled in it. It does have some pitting and it is missing most, if not all, of the japanning. The adjustable
throat mechanism works as it should, with both springs present and in excellent condition.
All in all a nice example of a vintage original early Stanley spokeshave.
