J & FJ Baker & Co's Oak Bark Bridle strap. Each strap is 1.5" wide and 55-60" in length. Thickness for each strap can vary between 4.5 to 6.3mm.  We do not have any control over the thickness and cannot take any requests for specific thicknesses.

J&FJ Baker is the last remaining Oak bark tannery in England. They have been tanning leather using traditional English oak bark since before Roman times. Their Oak Bark Leather is tanned for 12 months in pits containing oak bark and local river water. The ultra slow 12 month tanning process means the leather doesn’t swell up during tanning ensuring the fibers maintain natural alignment. This translates into a high tensile strength leather that is ideal for tough belts that will last. The leather has a firm temper yet remains incredibly supple. As the leather breaks in the suppleness increased along with the durability. Using traditional Currier methods and time honored traditions, each hide is hand stained and curried using generations old color recipes and dubbin.
