Pentax MV with SMC Pentax-M 50mm F2 lens.

The  Pentax MV-1 was introduced in 1981 as the simple model in the M series. The differences  whereas follow: No shutter speed display in the finder ( only a colored display when green the correct exposure/diaphragm. No exposure corrector. No shutter lock. No sync plug. No memo holder on the back. ASA range 25 to 1600. Dedicated flash shoe. 0.85x finder.

The Pentax MV-1 was an aperture priority automatic camera with an electronic focal plane shutter from 1sec to 1/1000sec synchronized at 1/100 sec. The shutter curtains are from metal and have a vertical movement. There is no shutter dial, and the camera could not be used in manual mode except for B and 1 /100 sec. The exposure meter is a standard TTL open aperture center weighted type. It is activated by a slight pressure on the release button.
