-The Ju87's new D-series was planned in early 1940.
-The oil cooler is attached to the underside of the nose, and the radiators are installed on both sides of the underside of the main wing, resulting in a cleaner nose cowling compared to the B series, with a streamlined windshield and a main landing gear cover. It has become a sophisticated and aerodynamically superior aircraft.
-In addition, the amount of onboard fuel has been increased and bulletproof steel plates have been added around the passengers. Although it was a D type that was introduced to each front, at a maximum speed of 400 Km/h, it was obvious that it was inferior to Allied fighters.
-However, there was still room for activity in the Eastern Front where there were few Allied high-performance fighters.
-The D-5 is equipped with a main landing gear that extends the main wing tip and can be separated as a measure against the wing surface load that has increased to the limit due to repeated repairs, and the dive brake has been removed from the latter model.
-The G-1 is an anti-tank attack aircraft developed for Soviet tank attacks, equipped with two Flak18 37mm machine guns for anti-tank attacks under the main wing.
-In 1942, the plan to carry out Soviet tank attack with Stuka was realized, and in December, a prototype machine equipped with a machine gun under the wing based on Ju87D-1 was manufactured and tested.
-The results of this test were very satisfying, and it was confirmed that a 37mm gun could be immobilized with a single shot by driving it into the engine section at the rear of the tank.
-Immediately, the G-1 type was mass-produced based on the Ju87D-3.
-The G-2 was based on the D-5 fuselage, with 37mm cannons attached to the underside of both wings, like the G-1, and the 20mm cannon on the wing had been removed.
-The operation areas of G-1 and G-2 are mainly on the Eastern Front, and they were effective in attacking Soviet troops against tanks.
