Description: Scarce. An unusually nice example of the first printing of the first edition of the deluxe edition. Original red leather gilt hardback. 7.5 inches by 5 inches. 159 pages. All edges gilt. 

Externally in excellent condition with covers remaining bright, light rubbing and wear to the spine (see pictures). Beautifully illustrated throughout by E H Shepard. The original pictorial endpapers are in very good order. Internally clean and bright. Small ownership signature to the front free end paper. Binding sound and square. Light pencil marks to the rear end paper.  Small closed tear to page 64 (see picture). 

A very nice example. Scarce.
