Arbus was a decorator, furniture designer, architect and sculptor. He favored the use of exotic and luxurious materials such as rare wood veneers and lacquer in his furniture design. He was a great designer of the Art Deco era through the 1930s and 40s. Throughout his career he won numerous awards and worked on significant commissions for the French government.

Arbus trained at the Ecole des Beaux Artes in Toulouse and at his family's cabinetmaking shop. His career took off when his design of a single family house was exhibited at the International Exposition.

In excellent condition overall. Edges of pages are slighty tinged due to age. No marks, tears or scratches. Spine tight and intact.
