Fine quality mid 19th century brooch with a central, pearl set, horseshoe on 3 bars with straps and ball finials.

It's made from yellow gold, which is unmarked and has tested very clearly as 22ct. The little half pearls have a lovely lustre, are well matched and are natural pearls. The hinge, pin and c clasp are in very good order.

Overall condition is very good - I found a tiny flaw to the back of the middle ball finial to one side, which looks like it had a pinhole which has been strengthened with a teeny touch of solder and only noticeable under magnification.

Included in the sale is the antique box which, if not original, it has been in for the past century.

Approx measurements 4.6cm x 1.5cm. Weight approx 6.1g
