Made with fine silver (99.9% silver content/ sterling silver is 92.5%), fine silver is a little softer to work with than sterling. It also balls up much smoother than sterling.

These ball pins will be handmade to order, so a slight variation to the photographs should be expected. They are made by using a blow torch to ball the ends and then they are cleaned and tumble polished to a lovely shiny finish and to harden them back up.

-PLEASE NOTE - These pins are not suitable for use in sewing.

Unprotected silver will tarnish, it can easily be brought back to a shine with a silver polishing cloth. These head pins are suitable for oxidizing/ antiqueing/ patinating.
