1990 Seiko FM Signal Receptor Message Watch NOS

“In July 1990 Seiko launched the RECEPTOR watch in the USA. This was the world's first wristwatch that included a pager capability. It has a simple LCD display and the messages were transmitted to the watch via a FM signal carried by local radio stations”.

“The paging ability allowed people to call an automated service and send specific messages to your watch. In addition to personalized messages, the system allowed messages to be sent to multiple recipients at one time and included a subscription service for different types of alerts”.

New old stock in perfect condition, although please be aware there is a miniature crack at the top right hand corner of the watch case; honestly not even noticeable but it’s there, hence ‘new with defects’ apart from that the watch is perfect, strap is in perfect condition as well (just out of interest the strap also acts as the antenna aerial for the watch as it has metal connectors inside); a very distinctive and technically ground breaking watch.

Any questions please feel free to ask.

Please also feel free to check out my other items too, a lot of the watches I have will be rare and collectable, and in some cases NOS, ultimately though very hard to find and may only be one of a few left in A1 condition.
