Here is a beautiful large ornate edwardian photo/picture locket & early pictures. The locket measures one & a quarter inches by one & a half inches excluding the bail and is all made of 9ct yellow gold with a lovely patina to the gold. The locket is a lovely early edwardian photo locket, unusually shaped with lovely early scrolled engravings with pierced galleried balled sides, quite unusual & which you open on one side & put a photo in, & then has its origional glass over it, with this one having lovely early pics of a attractive edwardian gentleman in period dress, a lovely clear pic. On the back its closed in with initials on it & the locket has its typical edwardian quality good size bail for attatching to a chain & it clearly has a full set of english hallmarks although they are rubbed for 9ct gold & 1904 & is totally original to the edwardian era & as with age & wear the back has slight dents to it, although this doesnt detract but mentioned for total accuracy, see pics . However this really is a lovely edwardian treasured locket in very good origional complete condition as stated and a good early unusual example allready to be worn.
