'CINQUE TERRE THROUGH COLORED GLASSES' - ORIGINAL MINI MOSAIC STAINED GLASS MASTERPIECE BY CSACHIKO

This incredible mosaic stained glass masterpiece measures 17 11/16" wide by 7 1/8" high.  It is an impressionistic style stained glass mosaic that the artist calls micro relievo cuboimpressionism.  It might be interpreted as a four-part fusion of pointillism, cubism, impressionism and relief using only the smallest stained glass pieces.

The stained glass pieces are mounted on a tempered glass base and with the artist's skill the work of art can be seen beautifully from both sides. Photos of both sides of the piece are featured in the photo gallery.  The photos are part of the description of this work.

This scene is of the village of Manarola. The homes are beautifully situated almost directly above the stunning Mediterranean Sea.

This rather famous scene of Manarola in the Cinque Terre region on the Italian Riviera is in an unfinished state awaiting the purchaser's instructions on choice of grout and possible insertion of a custom inscription in the lower-right corner corner. Csachiko is willing to work with the prospective buyer on the custom aspects of the lower right-hand corner. She will also sign the piece as part of the custom corner of the artwork.

Understandably, once the custom corner in the piece is completed as per the buyer's instructions, a return cannot be accepted and no refunds will be given.

About Cinque Terre:

The Cinque Terre, meaning "Five Lands," is a coastal area within Liquria, in the northwest of Italy. It lies in the west of La Spezia Province, and comprises five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore.  The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Cinque Terre area is a popular tourist destination. Over the centuries, people have built terraces on the rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the Ligurian Sea. Paths, trains, and boats connect the villages as cars can only reach them with great difficulty from the outside via narrow and precarious mountain roads.

Cinque Terre is mentioned in documents dating to the 11th century. Monterosso and Vernazza were settled first and the other villages grew later, whilst within the territory of the Republic of Genoa. In the 16th century, the inhabitants reinforced existing forts and built new defense towers to defend the area from attacks by the Turks. Cinque Terre experienced an economic decline from the 17th to 19th centuries, recovering when an arsenal was built in La Spezia and it gained a railway link to Genoa. The railway led to migration from the area and a decline in traditional industries until the growth of tourism from the 1970s onward brought some prosperity.

About the artist Csachiko:

Csachiko has been producing two dimensional mosaic art for many years. This is her very first piece of micro relievo  cuboimpressionism. She was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest of the United States but now makes her home in Texas in the United States.
