Ultra Rare fruit jar maytag engine Washer Motor Ball Holy Grail Smokstak Real!!.

I’ve been hemmin and hawin about selling this but there’s some other junk that I’m interested in and our maytags are not getting the respect they deserve.

Throwin them out there to see if anyone is interested…

So here’s the real deal holy grail Fruit Jar Maytag engine, coveted by collectors as one of the rarest out there.

Last year I brought it out of storage and posted pictures on the smokstak forums, and was contacted by the heavy hitters who studied the pictures and believed this is a real deal fruit jar that slipped through the cracks into my hands.

Inside the tank opening is the slight V that repops don’t have.

There is an ultra rare petcock valve (1/8 npt) that looks common but isn’t.

Not original pulley or nut but this was in use so a real Maytag repairman solution.

#98387 on flywheel

I put the correct year blue BALL jar on it but the top isn’t cut out it’s just for looks.

Titan spark plug

Complete.

Weak attempt at testing spark but didn’t get any.

There is a cut-off switch on the bottom of the backing plate, and I did not remove the flywheel to inspect any wires or anything.

There is a little slop in the rotation, like a rod bearing is worn, maybe 1/8”-1/4” depending on where it’s at in the flywheel position.

There is some flywheel end play of maybe 1/16”.

There is a double gasket between the hub and block.

Carburetor looks complete and original.

Spark plug wire looks ok.

“Smokstakers” made sure I didn’t clean or restore this!!

Most of the recent light dirt/sawdust is from my shed storage, but the old grime is from its as found condition.

I am putting this out there at a high price as they are not commonly available. Offers will be considered. This is listed locally and on smokstak so this could be pulled anytime.
