Antique Sceaux Hinged Large Box.

A VERY RARE 246 year old Porcelain Trinket Box from Sceaux / France dated 1776...Sceaux can be compared to Sevres / France in quality and value...Sceaux started producing in 1748 and ceased in the early 1800's while Sevres began in 1738 and into the 1900's...Sceaux pieces are much more rare as they only produced for a few years and their pieces very rarely come onto the market...It has a brass closure...It is in Very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs other than I believe the brass frame has been reglued to the porcelain top and bottom at some point in time...It measures 7-1/4 wide and 4.5 high and 4.5" deep...
