1x Antique Encaustic Floor Tile Victorian Gothic Revival Red & Buff French 6"x6"
One of 14 matching antique terracotta floor tiles with a Victorian Gothic Revival encaustic pattern in a rich buff (often called 'mustard' in France) within deep red ground. Made in France c.1900 by Manufactures Ceramiques de Mauberge. The tiles each measure 14.5cm x 14.5cm and they are 1.5cm thick. They each weigh around 800g.

* Perfect tiles in this design are also listed singly at £15. Also listed at £450 per square metre (44 tiles).

CONDITION:
In excellent original antique reclaimed condition. This batch of these tiles have a corner chamfer/edge chipping and hence they are offered at a lower price than thse with no chips on my separate listing. Professionally cleaned and ready to lay with no cement around the edges or on the rears. The rears of the tiles are marked with the maker's mark though the lifting and professional cleaning can obscure this. Please see the images showing examples of the tiles offered (fronts and rears).

Please see my other eBay listings for more Victorian, Arts & Crafts & Art Nouveau tiles and antiques!

POSTAGE DISCOUNTS:
A single tile weighs around 800g. Once lavishly bubblewrapped, padded and strongly boxed, the finished parcel will easily fall within the most economical Royal Mail
'up to 2kg small parcel' limits.
It may be possible to send two tiles together with no postage increase the than the increased insurance to cover the additional value.

If purchasing more than one tile from any of my listings, please delay paying so I can send you a manually-adjusted invoice reflecting the best combined postage savings. If buying multiple tiles, you can also use the 'make offer' facility which also allows for a delay in payment to facilitate sending a manual invoice. If you require a mixture of tiles across several listings you can also message me to ask for a bespoke listing to be made for you.

If you pay immediately using the eBay system-generated postage calculation (which ignores my pre-set combined postage discounts if more than one listing is involved), they will automatically charge you postage per tile and they will have instantly taken fees from the postage amount as well as the item cost which are not possible to get back for you without cancelling the order and starting again, so any partial refund for postage overpayment will be less those fees (around a 20%-25% loss).

POSTAGE / DELIVERY:
I have quoted for the best of the fully insured* posting options.

Royal Mail 1st Class (1-3 days) and 2nd Class (3-5 days) are insured* to £20. The Signed For versions of each are insured* to £50, have tracking and a signature on delivery.
Royal Mail Tracked 24 (1-2 days) & 48 (2-3 days) are insured* to £100, have tracking and signature on delivery.
Guaranteed (Next Day) Delivery has insurance - including damage cover - to £500, tracking and a signature on delivery.

*loss only with antiques and ceramics - no damage cover to such items with these services. I pack so well that I have never had any outgoing damage.

I no longer have a viable local post office, but thankfully Royal Mail are currently collecting from domestic addresses for a small cost which is factored in to the quotes for their services below.

Order cancellations: IMPORTANT CHANGES Paypal & eBay Managed Payments - PLEASE READ!

You can now only cancel an order BEFORE PAYING through the eBay system without losing money.
If you cancel an order AFTER PAYING, you will receive a partial refund of 75%-80% rather than a full refund of 100%. This is because Paypal no longer refund seller fees taken from the original transaction before it reaches the seller (fees are taken from item value AND postage) and combined fees from Paypal and eBay managed payments are in the region of 20%-25%.
