Introduction of product

Tower Records X Sony Classical Ultimate SA-CD Hybrid Collection The Missing Link of New York Philharmonic Connecting between the 9th release of Walter and Bernstein-"Greek's philosophy" Mitro Pulos' 125th anniversary release. Dimitri Mitroopoulos (1896-1960) made its name in the middle of the 20th century as a conductor from Greece. To commemorate the 125th anniversary of the birth, Mitro Pulos' three SA-CD hybrid boards will record stereo recording of orchestra works left with New York Philharmonic from 1957 to 1957 to 1957 to 58. Mitro Pulos, who studied in Bzoni in Berlin and served as E. Cliver's assistant, commanded the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 1936 to make a sensational success in the United States debut. At this time, Leonard Bernstein was shocked by the command of Mitro Pulos and decided to take the path as a conductor, and for Bernstein, along with Coppand, Kusevitzky, and Liner, he became one of the important mentors. Schumann's Symphony No. 2 and Beethoven's String Quartet No. 14, played by Mitro Pulos, became a lifelong repertoire for Bernstein. With the deterioration of the political situation in Europe, he became a music director of the Minneal Police Symphony Orchestra (now Minnesota Orchestra) in 1937, and increased his ability to the best in the United States during his office in 1949. I did it. In 1946, he acquired US nationality, became a music director of New York Philharmonic in 1949, and left a unique and huge footprint in 10 years, connecting Bruno Walter and Bernstein until 1958. (There are other examples such as Omandy and liner that were promoted from local orchestra to five major music directors in the United States). In the New York Philharmonic era, Mitro Pulos, who has been strong in the repertoire of Mahler's Symphony and New Vienna Group, has been incorporated into repertoire one after another, but a strong stimulus to the fill, but conservative media. While receiving intense criticism from, it was literally as if to be a solitary existence on the ground. (1/2)

Mitro Lopulos and New York Philharmonic's Colombia recording began in 1950, with a wide variety of repertoire, but most of them were monaural recording, barely a stereo recording of about five LPs from 1957 to 58. These performances, recorded during the transition period to Bernstein, the successor music director, are captured by a clear and strict stereo technology that creates a spectacular and strict mitroopoo loss music as if it were a glance. It is a great performance that can be said to be a total of Colombian recording, which begins in the Minneapolis era. Moreover, Tchaikovsky's "Patriot" and Slave March, "One Night of Half", and Prokofiev "Romeo and Juliet" are recorded in just one day, and it seems to reflect the momentum of this combination. Other than Prokofiev and Schoenberg, Bernstein is re -recorded with the same New York Philharmonic, especially Tchaikovsky's "Italian Mysterious Song" is a re -recording of only three years later on the Mitro Pulos board, and the direct comparison is interesting. The recording venue is the 30 -chome studio that Colombia used as a New York recording studio, and a ball in Hotel St. George, a Brooklyn, which was used as a recording venue for the early stereo, in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Room (Grand Colorama Ballroom). The former was a church built in 1875, and Colombia was renovated in 1948 and was used until 1982, and Gold and Miles Davis were recorded, but 29 meters x 16.5 meters high x height. The 15 -meter space maintained the room and clarity of the sound enough to enable the recording of the full orchestra. The latter is known for being rich in the recording because of the largest dancing venue in the United States, and it is known for gaining a rich sound, and is aimed at creating a sound that emphasizes the spread of perpete, which is expanded on the left and right in stereo recording. Ideal for the recording at Hotel St. George, Bernstein's Stravinsky "Spring Festival", Mahler's Symphony No. 4, Stravinsky's self -made "Spring Festival", and Walter -conducted Beethoven. There is the fourth movement of "9th". On March 3, 1958, when Mitro Pulos recorded the string ensemble of Schoenberg and Voven Williams, Walter recorded the same New York Philharmonic and Schubert "Unfinished" at the same venue. Due to the few stereo recording left by Mitro Pulos, these recording have been popular as a cheaper version in Japan during the analog era. Although it has been a CD since the 1990s, this hybrid disc has been a new remaster for almost 30 years, except for the Prokofiev "Romeo and Juliet", which was remastered in the Sony Classical "Great Performance" series in 2006. increase.
