This is an antique medal from the Gregory Chorlton Hall Academy, Manchester. This is a Member of the Roll of Honour medal with the busts of a young Queen Victoria and Albert on the front.
No dates given.
Maker's marks include Hiron and Halliday.

Comes in its original box. Having said that.. the inset for this particular medal is not quite the right dia. The medal just does not sit in it correctly.

Please see photographs provided for more details and visual confirmation of condition.
Normal signs of age and use wear. There are some dents on the edge of the medal.
The box is worn on the outside, mostly on the edges, corners, and the top of the lid.
The leather hinge has ripped so the lid is no longer attached to the base.

The medal measures approx. 61.2mm in dia. x 4.8mm deep plain edge and the medal weighs approx. 88.6 grams.

Please compare this to the other I am also selling today which is 20 grams lighter than this medal with a much better finish to it.

Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter, or a universal Coke can, and we all know how big those are.

If you see A/F = a/f in the title or description it means "as found" condition which may have scuffs, scratches and damage.
