Joe Montana is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 16 seasons. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. Montana spent the majority of his career with the San Francisco 49ers, where he won four Super Bowl championships and was named Super Bowl MVP three times. He also played two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. Throughout his career, Montana was known for his clutch play, particularly in high-pressure situations, and his ability to lead his teams to comeback victories. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000.
