About the SINA toy company

1991 - The founding year of SINA® Around 1 year has passed since the reunification of Germany. The East German economy was in a very desolate state and collapsed. Many people became unemployed. The founding of SINA® on 25. June 1991 by the shareholders Lulu Schiffler-Betz, Horst Ehnert and Werner Seidler was a silver lining for initially 5 employees, who got a new job in our production building in Neuwernsdorf in October. The building substance corresponded to the level of that time. Everyone was motivated, confident and willing to invest in order to set up an economically viable production facility. At the time, no one could have known that SINA® would initially fail at this location. 1992 - Three steps forward and two steps back Our planning application to the authorities to renovate and expand our production facility was rejected. And even worse: the Chemnitz regional council and the environmental agency sanctioned us with an immediate production and investment stop. The reason for this was the immediate proximity to the Rauschenbach drinking water dam. These conditions are usually the end of one's existence. And some might have given up. But not the 3 shareholders. An odyssey through authorities, trust institutions and banks began. 1993 Start of independent product development at SINA®. The "tablet laying game" was the very first product and is still available today. 1994 - First participation in the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg. -First awards for product design: "QUO, basic construction kit", design: Karsten Braune German toy design prize wood 3rd place. Saxon State Prize for Design 1994 - Purchase of a new property and land in Neuhausen/Erzgebirge. 1995 Relocation to their new company headquarters to our new production facility in 09544 Neuhausen, Bahnhofstrasse 17. 2012 DISTRIBUTION: worldwide EMPLOYEES: SINA® is a small, almost family-run company and employs 21 people.
