Grand Venetian style Hollywood Regency Mirror in a beautiful octagonal shape hand made in Spain in the 1950's - 1960's.
An one-of-a-kind mid century modern piece full of exquisite detail: it has a border of pink | peach | lilac | blue iridescent glass panels surrounding an array of mosaic glass among a large central mirror, this all cased into a brass structure on a wooden frame. The mirrored panels are adorned by brass flowers and classical patterns.
The coloured glass has a cloudy, marbled texture creating an atmospheric landscape in which we can recognize the sea, sky, a galaxy, floral patterns, subtle splattering etcetera.
This wall mirror will be perfect in a contemporary or classical ambiance. Could elegantly fit an entrance, bathroom, dressing room, hallway, bedroom, become a centerpiece in a living room, etcetera. Also gorgeous as a console mirror.
In good cosmetic condition especially considering it's age. Light patina to the gilt brass and slight oxidation to some of the nails and side frame. Missing one flower (as seen in the last picture), this is reflected in the price.
An additional wooden backplate has been added to guarantee enough support.
