E 5 SON MTL-Canada not Que, RARE right straight edge

...only 600,000 issued....

Straight edge stamps or stamps with selvedge info…

... imagine the number of straight edge stamps out of a printing pane (100) which means only 8 out of ten for having a any side straight edge... (taking out the 2 corners). This means that such straight edge has only 8 out of each pane...Indirectly, it brings an added Rarity Factor to the REAL value of straight edge stamps...

Specific position on a pane…

We must acknowledge that on a pane of 100 stamps, corner stamp DO have an indirect higher value… because they are only 4 different and one at each corner of a pane !!!

Let's do the math out of it...

600,000 stamps issued/100 stamps per pane = 6,000 potential panes and which 8 potential right  straight edge stamps or MAXIMUM of 48,000 such right SE...

And since that 1859 Era..how many left out there... really... not much..

...and with such SE- LL corner stamp!!!... surely ... lesser...

MORE...and with a Bull's Eye cxl or Target cxl...the answer... it could be countable on one hand...

What serious collectors are looking at...is the rarity factor of the item or the uniqueness of the item... which gives it its intrinsic value.

CV = $ 25.00 +++ with this rarrety factor of being a right straight edge....
