EC Capodimonte Footed Covered Cherub Dish/Casket/ Dresser Porcelain Box -  Numbered 1 of 499

This Cherub Dish is in immaculate condition. The intricate raised cherubs design will have you looking at it for ages just to catch all the detail. The gold numbering reads '1/499' which appears to mean that this was the first such dish made for this series. A definite collectors' item!

The gold lined lid and dish just adds to the opulence. Capodimonte has been active since the 1700s in Naples, Italy. This dish appears to have been made between 1921 to current day given the marks on bottom.
