The Limited Editions Club was founded in 1929 by George Macy with the intent of publishing beautifully illustrated and designed classic literature for a limited number of subscribers. Much of the Club’s fame stems from its use of some of the best illustrators and artists available. Each title was uniquely designed with individualized paper, cover materials, and most books are numbered and signed by the Illustrator.

Gabriel Rummonds of the Plain Wrapper Press, Verona, Italy, has designed this edition of Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire.  The composition of the text in Monotype New Times Roman has been preformed by Mackenzie-Harris of San Francisco.
