These days, you can get humbuckers tuned for just about any specific sound — modern, vintage, warm, bright — from blistering harmonics to hammering chug. The Satchur8™ was designed for guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, and it has an expressive attack with a warm, sweet singing lead tone. It can go big when you need it, and get quiet when you back off.
When we started this project, we chose an Alnico 8 magnet because it has lots of output, with a buttery smooth mid-range, deep, full-bodied bass, and a warm, singing solo tone that suits Joe’s playing style. Additionally, the coils were tuned to Joe’s sound. The rich output of the Alnico 8 magnet makes the Satchur8™ great for hot humbucking tones.
The Satchur8™ is smooth yet bright, with plenty of clarity and distinction. It’s loaded with dynamics, and notes have weight and authority. Joe says the Satchur8™ is the richest, most complete sounding pickup he’s ever used. “I wish we could just say, ‘This pickup sounds effing great!’”
The Satchur8™ is available in F-spacing only.

Payment
All our auctions are now set-up to only accept Immediate Payment through eBay checkout. Local collection is fine. We're in Leigh near Manchester (WN74PG). If the auction won't allow you to select local pickup - then please contact us with the details of the item you want and we can arrange collection.
If you are buying more than one item PLEASE use the ebay "shopping basket" feature, which allows you to temporarily place your multiple purchases on hold and then make ONE payment for them at the end. We will do our best to adjust/refund for combined postage by way of a Paypal refund.
Shipping
We always post items quickly and we generally post on Monday to Friday in the mornings, and sometimes Saturday in busy periods. Please note : The Royal Mail DO NOT regard a Parcel/Package/Letter lost until 15 workings after the expected date of arrival for Domestic items and 25 days for International items. If you haven't received your item, please email or phone us giving us as much info as possible. We will then email you a claims form which needs to be filled completely and posted back to us to enable us to make a claim. All items will be sent well packed and in new self-seal Jiffy bags or boxes in the case of larger items.
Terms of Sale
Returns will be accepted In line with the UK CCR's, as long as we are notified within 7 days from delivery date and we receive the item back within 14 days. If the item is faulty we will pay the return postage, otherwise the postage will be at your expense. Any item that has been used or shows signs of being used and that we then cannot re-sell as new will NOT be accepted for return/refund/exchange. We are however 110% certain you will be happy with any item you purchase from Cottam Guitars, and we'll therefore assume you are happy with your purchase once you have left feedback for us and also take this as confirmation that you have safely received your item/s.
