Antique Victorian Chantilly Lace Black Floral 98”x 24” HUGE Net Handmade Opera Shawl Mantilla

Sumptuously long for a special occasion. Length gives the shawl mantilla a great sense of drama. The piece is really in very good condition for its age and use. There are a few pulls and a small area shown in photo where there is a loose area of the netting.

I don’t think any of those issues detract from the shawl. They are minor and not noticeable. I photographed the few areas of concern but please look at the overall shawl.

Not sure of the fabric content. Feels like silk cotton blend, but again unsure. No label. Looks handmade. Well cared for but also worn.

It is in beautiful wearable condition! And the length is fabulous and rare to find one this old, in this condition and 98” long and 24” wide.

Purchased from the estate of a retired professor who traveled the world and always looked like a beautiful diva in her photos:)
