And now for something complete different ~

Presented here is the Medium Coral Ball Pendant on a Braided Silk Cord.

These constructions were unlike anything else seen prior or since: Intricate 3-dimensional organic structures that bore a resemblance to the constructions that corals create. Hence they became the Coral Collection.

Presented here is the largest & weightiest of the Coral Ball Pendants. This size only came on the silk cord, & it's a substantial piece of silver, done here in the original Fine Silver finish.

The effect is at once fascinating & festive. They're like balls of beach-foam, golden pompoms, fluffy snowballs, lightweight & airy yet substantial.

Dimensions: The sphere pendant on silk is about 1" across, the silk cord is about 36" long.

I'll put up the group I have of these in both fine silver & vermeil. This should be fun. Just in time for the season, wear them from holiday to resort to spring, definitely unique, very pretty, fascinating to look at, & definitely different than anything you've had before. 

Once these are all gone, that will be it for the Coral Collection! The set-up & knowledge-base for these is long gone.

From the archives, this is an original sample-line item, a last relic from a classic set of signature designs rarely seen. It is 'new old stock', as it has never been worn, but may have small signs of handling in a showroom setting. It's in near perfect shape.

While the original price tag isn't attached on this one, it would've retailed for around $190 (about $268 in today's 2022 dollars).

Presently I have two pendants on silk in this size.

There are a few more of the silver Coral Pendants this size, but unless I turn up a vintage skein of our custom-braided silk in the archives, the Silk Braid is done. Another wonderful element that was our staple, the strongest natural fiber, but the shop that made it for us was liquidated along with so many small factories across the landscape. This cord is simply not available (I've looked!).

You'll not find this exact, very wearably-sized style around as it was never shown or produced.
