Cunard Line: A fold-out (19" by 27") pre-maiden interiors brochure for the IVERNIA. The ship was the second of the SAXONIA Class and shared the original ship's playfulness in design.

The brochures opens to a four panel Charles Turner portrait bordered in gold followed by eight color sketches. The interiors were filled with Canadian symbols and lore. The First Class Mounties Bar paid tribute to the rugged lawmen while in the Tourist Class Dining Room vignettes of Canadian fauna and flora decorated the walls.

As much as I enjoy these interiors, the public did not. The last two SAXONIA Sisters fell back on traditional decor and all this delicious design was torn out when the IVERNIA was converted into the cruise liner FRANCONIA in 1963.

Very good condition.
