It is handmade of sheepskin and wood. The face is made of piece of wood carved and painted by hand. Each mask is unique in its way. On the head it has a pair of beautiful natural old cow horns.
In the old days (more than 2,000 years), the old man masks were used in rituals and ceremonies that celebrated ancestors, elderly people, or referred to the protection against nature.
Over time, the masks served to celebrate the new year. The masked man represent the popular wisdom that became the truth-carrying voice told with humor.
