The Damselfly Adult and Damselfly Nymph pair are prints taken from my original gouache-watercolor paintings. The price of the set, sold as a pair, is discounted from the individual prints. A great gift for the fly fisherman.

Fish adult damselfly floating patterns using a dead drift.  And, use patterns that resemble the naturals where you are fishing.  It’s always worth carrying a few adult dry fly damsel patterns.

The nymph is the longest stage of the Damselfly’s life cycle. They live, eat and grow among the weeds in 4 to 24 feet of water and undergo several molts during their development before maturity.  Near shore they climb out of the water on anything they can anchor themselves to and become an adult.  While fly fishing, imitate nymphs in their emergence stage by stripping the fly slowly upward, off the bottom.  Damselfly nymph color will depend on the habitat in which they live so consider that when selecting a fly pattern.

Size of prints: 5" x 7", 8" x 10", or 11" x 14". All prints include a white border approximately ½ in. to allow for framing.  Mats and frames not included.  Printed on 110 lb. Matte White Stock, signed, and shipped in a rigid photo mailer. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.

Thanks, Lee
