For sale here is this 1st quality antique Meissen porcelain figurine of a young girl with a goat. The goat seems to have been feasting on a grapevine, as there are bunches of grapes and vine leaves entangled in its horns. The girl has a basket at her back, attached to a belt.

This really charming figurine was originally modelled around 1780 by Johann Schönheit. It is very beautifully modelled and skilfully hand-painted. The figure is incised on the base with the model number "H 81", along with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark (1st quality; no strikes). It dates from the 19th century.

The figure measures just under 6 inches high and 4 1/2 by 3 1/4 inches at the base. It is in very good antique condition with the exception of some restoration to some of the vine leaves and bunches of grapes.
