Vintage 6 1/4" wide cardboard sign advertising Blue-Tip Cigars. This was a fan hanger sign. Fan Hangers were tied to the string of store ceiling fans (before air conditioning) and slowly turned from the breeze of the fan, and so Fan Hanger Signs are always two sided. The signs are identical on both sides. I recently purchased these from a well know Picker in the trade. These where found in the old factory and are the only examples I know of. Not many have survived over the past 80 + years. All have some typical paint flaking and the flaking varies on each sign but, it's a piece of American Tobacco History.
