United States Lines - A sixty-page booklet for the GEORGE WASHINGTON's 1922 Mediterranean Cruise. Arranged by the famed Raymond-Whitcomb agency, the ship departed New York on February 14, 1922, and didn't return until April 26.

Rates show the top accommodations, the "Presidential Suite", cost sixteen-grand or the equivalent of a quarter-million today! A cheapie inside shared cabin would set you back the equivalent of ten-grand.

Since the GEORGE WASHINGTON was undergoing renovation at the time of the brochure printing, a glowing description is backed-up by only a portrait-at-sea. But the rest of the brochure with its extensive travelogue is filled with vintage photography of quaint and uncrowded Mediterranean attractions.

Good condition.
