This is an original 14 x 11 inches (36 x 28
cm.) lobby card from the film " The desert hawk " starring Yvonne
DeCarlo & Richard Greene. Lobby card print in 1950 and movie produced
by the Universal International Picture Corp. The lobby card is in excellent
condition. Lithograph no.8 with an edition of 50 on 519. This lobby card is
from U.S.A and was printed during the years that the film was released in movie
theaters. This lobby card was created by the film studios to publicise the
movie and was intended for display outside the movie theatre in special glass
display boxes. This is not a reproduction, it is a genuine collector's item.
About the movie : The
Desert Hawk is a 1950 action adventure film directed by Frederick De Cordova
starring Yvonne De Carlo and Richard Greene. An arranged marriage forces the
Arabian princess Scheherazade to marry the cruel ruler Prince Murad. A
thief known as Desert Hawk hears about the wedding, disguises himself as Murad
in order to steal the wedding gifts. The next morning, the real Murad shows up and, finding that the dowry is
missing, orders his men to make it look like the Desert Hawk has massacred the
townspeople. When the princess learns that she has been deceived, she changes
clothes with one of her servants, who is then mistaken for the princess and
murdered. The servants, along with the princess in disguise, are rounded
up and sold as slaves. The
Desert Hawk buys him at the slave market. Meanwhile, Murad, in an effort to
consolidate his power, stirs up trouble at a neighbor's house, telling the
princess's father that the neighbor helped the Desert Hawk. The princess's
father entrusts Murad with avenging his daughter and those murdered, allowing
him to pursue the Desert Hawk in an attempt to obtain the princess and the
power for himself.
