This is The OneThe entire BOC canon that ICan actually listenFrom beginningTo end. The guitars are playing The big riffs, TheA nice poetic graceFORThe most part. Teen Archer is A great example where they nailed The& THE serious lyrics. The opener, The REDTheBLACK isA barn burner showcasing Buck's full barrel attitude at its' best. Cliched guitar solos & fills dare not show their Face when he plays. The seeming stream of consciousness words talking about touring & border crossings also fit well. Other highlights - Hot Rails To Hellof what 70s rock couldSound like when done by masters. And while I could never get The American Sabbath tag, I CanThe lyrical subject matters matchTo Sab's.The songs, though, don'tSound as delightfully sludgy as Sab could do so well. When firing On all cylinders, BOC could hold its' own against any ofThe other iconic US rock groupsofThe 70s (Kiss, Aerosmith, Nugent, Montrose etc...). Unfortunately, they often came up short On TheThe others. But On this OneThe target, repeatedly. if you're looking FOR some intelligent great 70s hard rock, this One is it.
