SOME STORY OF THIS AMAZING PILOT:

They called him the Crazy Sidar In 1930, a great aviation feat ended in tragedy. Tomas F. Arias Castro No one had ever tried it before, but Pablo Sidar had a reputation for being daring and reckless. As a revolutionary and pilot in the Mexican army, he had seen much combat. Equally tough was Lieutenant Carlos Rovirosa, who accompanied him on the most dangerous adventure of his life. In 1929, Colonel Pablo Sidar, known as El Loco for his daring and audacity, began to plan a feat that had never been carried out before due to its danger and risks: a non-stop flight between Mexico City and the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires. Sidar requested the Secretary of War and Navy of the Mexican State, General Joaquín Amaro, the endorsement for said trip, which implied a duration of forty hours and a distance of eight thousand kilometers. After the authorization, the government put at his disposal a monoplane purchased in the United States and manufactured in 1926, which had been baptized as Morelos. Pablo asked that his co-pilot be Lieutenant Carlos Rovirosa, recognized for his talent and expertise, who accepted the invitation. Surely neither of them imagined that they would never arrive in Buenos Aires and that their courageous feat would end in the territory of Costa Rica. And probably Miss Artemisa Elías Calles Chacón (daughter of former Mexican President Plutarco Elías Calles) thought about it much less, with whom Sidar had promised to marry on his return from his flight to Argentina.
