The book itself is in excellent condition with boards, titles and illustrations remaining bright (see pictures). Internally clean and bright. Binding sound and square.

Mary Grant Bruce (1878-1958) was Australia's most famous children's author. Her adventure novels set in the Australian landscape played a leading role in establishing the Australian sense of identity based on hard work, mateship, and looking askance at perceived effete "British" values.
