Please be aware that the float switch is fitted to control the power supply to the heating element, the element feed CANNOT be wired through the float switch as the float switch is only rated at 1 amp.
The float switch would normally be used in conjunction with a relay or contactor to control power to the heating element.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Please note that the heating element and float switch are not supplied with any warranty, if installed incorrectly and the element is allowed to heat without water this can lead to failure of the element, if the loading through the float switch is higher than 1 amp, the float switch reed will be damaged. For this reason this item cannot be supplied with any warranty. It is assumed that by reading this and purchasing from us you are in agreement with the warranty exclusions on this specific item.
