2.31 oz Rare Hand Poured Antiqued Silver Horse Skull from Rev Tye's Stache

This is the 2.15 oz antiqued silver Horse Skull pour from Rev Tye's Stache. This was produced in April 2019 and is very tough to find. It is an utterly unique pour that has yet to be matched by the competition and it just looks awesome in person.

This pour, its COA and original Rev Tye gift box will be bubble wrapped and ship in a cardboard box with styrofoam shipping pellets to ensure it arrives to your collection safely. It will ship via USPS First Class with tracking.

The Rev Tye's Stache Silver Pouring Story: Rev Tye's Stache has one of the most unusual silver-pouring histories in the industry, and even though they stopped pouring in early 2020, their legend seems to grow as time passes. But for the uninitiated; who the hell is Rev Tye's Stache?

Well, they've been on eBay for over a decade and have sold way over 20,000 rare coins, building an excellent reputation with over 12,000 feedback. In 2018, for whatever reason, they started a small pouring operation as a side business and began selling their stuff on eBay. Over the course of the next year I believe they poured and sold about 9,000 pieces.

At first they didn't even sell stuff with COAs, they just sold it. They were cranking 'em out like crazy, and while the earliest stuff was fairly crude, they got better quickly and before long they were producing some of the most unique silver pours in the industry. They produced stuff that other people weren't producing and they soon had quite a reputation for poured silver on eBay.

In the middle of 2019, Rev Tye's Stache started enameling some of their poured pieces and put out some incredible butterflies, insects and other pieces. The competition for their silver pours was growing more fierce by the week. Their stuff often went for over 40 an ounce (sometimes over 100), and that was when silver was $16 an ounce. Their subject matter continued to broaden and they made everything from a .15 oz. fish hook to 15 oz. lions.

Some of Rev Tye's poured silver artwork was among the best I had ever seen, and the market for them seemed to be booming. Then in late 2019 they started winding down the poured-silver business and by early 2020 it was all gone. They sold all of their used kilns and casting molds on eBay. Today they're still on eBay, selling nothing but coins. But one of my favorite pourers had left the pouring business.

I'm not sure why Rev Tye's Stache stopped pouring silver. Of course, it took time and effort to create, produce, finish, photograph and market all their pieces and they paid someone to do it, but it seemed like they were making a decent profit. But for whatever reason, the skilled craftspeople they were using to pour silver were no longer pouring for Rev Tye. To this day I wonder exactly who those people were and where they ended up.

But it only means the Rev Tye's Stache poured silver that remains in the marketplace is more collectible now than ever. Every single piece is unique and I don't think they ever made more than 70 of any particular design concept (some cool ideas they only made a few times). I bought over 250 Rev Tye poured artworks, including multiples of several designs, some of which – decades later – will be among the last silver items I ever sell.
