This is a fantastic vintage Freemason tie tack/lapel pin from the 50's/60's.  It is Sterling Silver as can be seen by the jewelry hallmark stamp on the back and the maker's mark of "D" with an arrow through it.  As to the a banner that has an arrow through the banner, this will be a makers/designers mark, wurprisingly there are very many jeweller's that use the Arrow piercing an Initial or other object as recognition.  The Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Shrine (Shriner's Symbol) is the ornate artwork on the front of the pin:  Scimitar with 3 white stones embedded at the far right to middle and horns/crescent moon with 4 white stones embedded.  The pin clasp is silver toned and works well to secure the pin to lapel or tie.
