Description:
This sewing pattern is used to make: a dress like the one that Princess Kate wore when she attended the Earthshot Gala 2022.
This pattern is designed to make a dress like the one Princess Kate wore, and to be made in a non-stretch or with-give fabric. The dress is 2-piece, with waist seam and bust darts, long column/sheath skirt with back split, and off the shoulder long sleeves.
Pattern now INCLUDES: 1cm seam allowances, instructions with sketches, fabric layouts, and sizes are available in 8 to 22 or 22 to 30 - select your preferred option in the drop down menu. See the images for the size charts. Please read below before buying.

This product is for a sewing pattern and not an actual garment for sale.
This pattern includes sizes 8 to 22, or 22 to 30, however, please do compare your own measurements with those in the charts in the images as this is based on the latest 1982 British Standard Sizing and is not like the sizes used by modern high street clothes shops.
This pattern now includes 1cm seam allowances, layouts and fabric quantities as well as instructions with sketches. Pattern assumes the sewer will have some existing skills: depending on sewer's skills this may be a challenging project.
Sewer will need to create a toile in inexpensive fabric to assess the pattern and make personal fit adjustments before making from final fabric.

About me:
My patterns come in many guises. Some I create from
vintage fashion plates and are in every way an authentic vintage pattern, some
are digitised original hard-to-find or out-of-print vintage patterns with the
option of being graded to offer more sizes, and some are created from iconic
photographs using patterns of the era with a little bit of skill and expertise
included to create a pattern that is often a unique find - if even ever made! Hands
up those of you who would like to wear a Marilyn Monroe dress, or that of one
of your icons??
My patterns are crafted by hand, digitised and then
printed on the best paper available. I
only use fit-for-purpose fashion design paper, not other styles of paper that may
tear when you pin it and does not move as one with the fabric. I strive to continue product development in
order to provide you the best experience when using a DPP pattern.

A
word or two on sizing:
I use the modern 1982 British Standards size charts. These relate closely to the vintage sewing
patterns such as Vogue and Simplicity, and also with today's sewing pattern
manufacturers. You could consider these
as 'vintage sizes' and the reason for this is that high street fashion
manufacturers strayed away from the standards with what is known as 'vanity
sizing' in an attempt to get you to buy their product over their competitors. You could expect to be two sizes larger than
modern high street fashion sizes.
