This is an early 19th Century rare British struck medallion from the Napoleonic War period.

The medallion portrays the Swedish King Gustavus Adolphus IV and the 1792 date of his accession.
Sweden was a major British ally, in the War against France.

Made around the year 1810 ,this medallion was one of four, made by the British, for war time propaganda and patriotic purposes.

Similar medallions were struck for the British, Russian and Spanish monarchs respectively.  

The brass medallion ( 20 mm diameter) is in a good collectable condition.
